NDMA expressed confidence in the strategy to prevent Corona
The National Disaster Management Authority has expressed confidence in Pakistan's current strategy to prevent Corona. The National Health Organization says that there is no risk of new type of corona virus in the country, colds and flu are more common than the cases of corona virus.
In the review meeting regarding the situation of Corona, the National Institute of Health gave a briefing, the monitoring of the trends of the new type of virus was reviewed. It was reported that the rate of corona cases in the country is 0.53%, 95% of the eligible population received their first vaccination while 90% of the people are fully vaccinated.
The National Institute of Health said that different types of Omicrone will keep coming, all the skills are in place to deal with the new type and the situation is being fully monitored. In the meeting, instructions were also given to prepare to deal with the situation and strengthen the vaccination system.
The National Institute of Health said in the briefing that there is no risk of new type of corona in Pakistan, most of the cases are cold.
