Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves further decreased.
According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, foreign exchange reserves decreased by $29.29 million in the week ended December 23.
The State Bank says that the country's total foreign exchange reserves stood at 11.71 billion dollars as of December 23.
The deposits with the State Bank decreased by 29.43 million dollars to 5.82 billion dollars, while the deposits of commercial banks increased by 1.4 million dollars to 5.88 billion dollars.
The foreign exchange reserves held by the commercial banks have exceeded the foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank.
